John Wilson has been a proponent of education throughout his professional career. He served on the Madison-Champaign ESC Governing Board for two years and as an interim administrator for a local private school for four years. 

 

He recently published a book entitled THE SERVING AND SPIRITUAL JOURNEY OF A CAREGIVING HUSBAND, which chronicles his journey as a caregiver for his wife Sue, whose health declined over a period of 8 years. He shares this journey to provide insight into the challenges and blessings that come from such an experience. His dependence on the Lord is communicated throughout the book. 

 

The book includes a Caregivers Guide listing important elements to consider when facing the need for caregiving. Although the story is told from the perspective of a husband, anyone dealing with the care of a loved one can benefit from the lessons learned through John’s experiences.
