The Pre-Service School Bus Driver Training Program became operational on June 1, 1978. Since 1978 the program has been expanded to include Pre-Service, Van Driver Certification, OBI Certification and Evaluation, the Ohio Advance School Bus Driver Classes and School Bus Driver Road-E-O events. School transportation training for Madison, Champaign, Auglaize, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby Counties.

More than sixty percent of Ohio’s students ride on school buses each day and nearly 15,000 buses provide safe transportation for children in the state. National studies show school buses are the safest method for transporting young people nearly 30 times safer than passenger cars. The success of school transportation in Ohio is a result of the contributions of all the members of school transportation teams, including school administrators, drivers, mechanics, secretaries, teachers, students and parents.
